Concieved in the spring of 1998, Colometers was created purely to fill a previously unserviced niche in the comics industry- the crime fighting leprechaun.

Written by Mick Kelly and Drawn by Johnny Kelly, the character of Colometers is based on the celtic god of vengeance 'Cú Le Mítór', a vicious war-dispensing purveyor of all things judicial. Legend has it that he, like Colometers, lived with his mother.

The locals of Ballymingus are a cheery sort, and like most rural Irish people, enjoy nothing more than fighting and wrestling. Eamonn Clegerty runs the grocers shop and has a tendency towards accidental body mutilation. Nick runs a Café and vends 'medicinal cigarettes'. Tullibard Shanks has owned the entire town since his great grand uncle culled the midlands in the seventeenth century.
